The scientific research at "San Camillo" Hospital in Venice is conducted to develop over time the fundamental knowledge in specific fields of Biomedicine and Public Health.
As a Scientific Institute for Research, Hospitalization and Health Care (IRCCS), acknowledged by the Ministry of Health, "San Camillo" Hospital in Venice is granted Ministerial funds to support the "permanent" research of the Institute, carried out in the field of motorial, communicational and behavioral neurorehabilitation.
Research funding of the Italian Ministry of Health is issued an annual basis and is aimed at ensuring that the Hospital continues, within the framework of its recognition, its institutional research activities in the approved research lines.
Research activities are the subject of national and international Scientific Journals. San Camillo Hospital issues yearly to the Ministry of Health the complete list of the scientific publications in order to allow the necessary assessments to allocate the annual resources for the research. Scientific production is just one of the factors taken in account for the measurement of the scientific and assistance activities.
Nowadays, five research lines are operating:

Responsible: Corrado Angelini
